Did you know the first Burns supper was held in July 1801 when nine of Burns’ close friends got together to mark the fifth anniversary of their friend’s death? It took place at Burns Cottage in Alloway and included a meal of haggis and performances of Burns’ work.
Every year on Burns’ birthday – January 25th- we celebrate the great poet and lyricist!
Robbie Burns is regarded as a pioneer of the Romantic movement and after his death he became a great source of inspiration to the founders of both Liberalism and Socialism, and a cultural icon in Scotland. Join us as we celebrate Robbie Burns with our annual 5-Course traditional Beer Dinner and Scotch Nosing brought to you by Innis & Gunn Brewing Co.
Join us at one of our four Robbie Burns Dinners, or come for all – we won’t judge, and Robbie certainly wouldn’t have!
